FairGrowth Announces Bipartisan Support for Call to Reduce Metro-West Density
Today Virginia House Delegate Steve Shannon (D-35) and his Republican challenger, Jim Hyland, signed FairGrowth'sstatement calling for significantly reduced density for the proposed Metro-West development at the Vienna/Fairfax/GMU Metro station. All members of the ViennaTown Council joined in signing the statement, which also expresses concerns about the effects of the proposed development on transportation, the environment, parks, and schools.
